What We’re Doing

Our Team, the Command and Control, Battle Management and Communications (C2BMC) Global team, is engineering, developing and integrating new capability for the Missile Defense System that currently protects the United States and its allies. The team, as a whole, is very large but is broken down into many smaller agile teams that work together in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. Our team is also, responsible for tasks such as Sensor/Weapon Integration, Algorithm Development, User Interface Development, Automated Testing, Cyber Security and enhancing other critical, leading-edge missile defense technologies.

The Work

  • Perform complex problem resolution, design, development, testing, integration, and user-support for a large code baseline
  • Follow specifications in order to develop or modify functionality within the code
  • Assist with design, benchmark testing, debugging and documentation
  • Interface with other system support groups to resolve problems, set standards and improve overall efficiency of the system
  • Design, code, test and implement tools for automation

Note:

  • Position will involve around 10% travel to our customer sites in the U.S

Standard Job Description: 

Plans, conducts, and coordinates software development activities. Designs, develops, documents, tests, and debugs software that contains logical and mathematical solutions to business/mission problems or questions in computer language for solutions by means of data processing equipment. Applies the appropriate standards, processes, procedures, and tools throughout the development life cycle. Applies knowledge of computer hardware and software, subject matter to be programmed in business/mission applications, information processing techniques used, and information gathered from system users to develop software. Corrects program errors, prepares operating instructions, compiles documentation of program development, and analyzes system capabilities to resolve questions of program intent, output requirements, input data acquisition, programming techniques, and controls. Ensures software standards are met.

Basic Qualifications

  • An active final secret clearance is required.
  • Experience programming in Java.
  • Knowledge of software practices and coding standards.
  • Strong problem solving skills, including the ability to review performance issues, identify root cause, recommend and develop a solution.
  • Experience developing and working with simulation frameworks for both test and training use cases.

Desired Skills

  • Ability to be cleared at TS/SCI level.
  • Experience working as part of an Agile team.
  • Familiarity with Java Spring, C++, and Matlab.
  • Familiarity with Distributed Interactive Simulation (DIS) or similar experience is a plus.
  • Familiarity with containerization tools such as Docker/Kubernetes.
  • Knowledge of server side development and message passing.
  • Experience developing enterprise applications.
  • Good working knowledge of MS Office products.
  • Flexibility and willingness to take on unanticipated tasking.
  • Use of common software development and management tools such as git, Nexus, JIRA, Confluence, Maven or Gradle and Eclipse.
  • Understanding of standard system engineering design artifacts such as Use Cases and UML diagrams.
  • Experience with Software Integration testing including developing automated test scripts.
  • Experience with Risk Management Framework/STIG/Fortify mitigation.
  • Prior experience designing and developing microservices and deploying with containers; experience setting up a container environment.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a rapid paced, team environment.

Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $98100.00 - $182100.00

PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
