The Work
Lockheed Martin Manassas Systems Engineer with our Acoustic Rapid COTS Insertion (A-RCI) Sonar Submarine team are responsible for driving, facilitating, and supporting mission analysis and requirements definition across diverse disciplines throughout the product life cycle. Our Systems Engineering team operates in Agile frameworks such as Scrum and Kanban to plan, manage and execute tasking.
As a member of this team you will work with SONAR Systems Engineers, System of System Engineers and/or interdisciplinary subject matter experts to analyze, decompose and verify system functional requirements. You will manage requirements baselines, system models and verification processes using MBSE tools such as Cameo and IBM Jazz ELM (DOORS NEXT)/ETM. Activities will include working with Team leads and Navy counterparts to define complete system requirements and work with multi-discipline engineering teams to derive lower-level detailed requirements and represent those decisions with respective MBSE diagrams such as Block Definition Diagrams, Internal Block Definition diagrams, Use Case/Sequence Diagrams and Requirements diagrams amongst others.
Additional tasking would involve generating system level requirements verification procedures utilizing test automation practices to streamline the certification sell-off phase.

Basic Qualifications
- Candidate with a Bachelor's Degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science or equivalent degree; or related experience in lieu of degree.
- 2+ years experience with systems engineering processes, with background in requirements development/management, CONOPS development, interface design, system integration and verification/test to accommodate End to End Systems Engineering.
- Experience with Model-Based Engineering applications/technologies such as Cameo/MagicDraw or Rhapsody.
- Experience in generating Behavioral and Structural disagrams from MBE toolsuite (Activity/Use Case, BDDs, IBDs)
- Experience wtih model-based languages such as SysML or UML
- Experience with C++, Python, or SQL scripting languages
- Self Motivated with a demonstrated sense of urgency and ownership, and accountability for tasks/assignment
- Demonstrated critical thinking and problem-solving skills, with an ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks and changes in deadlines
- Strong communication skills with the ability to interface with all levels of management.
Must be a US Citizen; this position will require a government security clearance. This position is located at a facility that requires special access
Desired Skills
- Familiarity with Linux, Git, and/or Matlab
- Familiarity with Jira/Confluence and other Atlassian tools
- Experience applying System Engineering processes in an Agile environment.
- OCSMP SysML certification
Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $79300.00 - $147300.00

- Annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs may be offered depending on the position. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and can vary from year to year and are tied to a range of performance metrics.
- For (Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
