Standard Job Description
You will be the Lead Manufacturing Engineer (Level 3 Individual Contributor) for the Guided Multiple Launch Rocket System (GMLRS) ME team. Our team is responsible for supporting all production activities for the GMLRS program, from line validation and supplier interaction to earned‑value management and design‑for‑manufacturability reviews.
What You Will Be Doing
As the Lead Manufacturing Engineer (Level 3 Individual Contributor) you will be responsible for driving initiatives that have a tangible impact on program success and ensuring seamless execution of day‑to‑day manufacturing tasks.
Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Manage day‑to‑day execution and closeout of assigned manufacturing‑engineering tasks.
- Gather relevant data and prepare concise briefs for Integrated Product Team (IPT) briefings.
- Coordinate with suppliers and internal stakeholders to support line validation and earned‑value management.
- Conduct design‑for‑manufacturability reviews and recommend improvements.
- Adjust program ME staffing to maintain continuous coverage of all program needs.

MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN - This position is located at a facility that requires special access. The selected candidate must be able to obtain a Secret clearance. Basic qualifications (BQs) are the minimum requirements for a candidate to be considered for a position, 3 to 5 BQs are most effective.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in an associated Engineering discipline
- Experience with Manufacturing/Assembly/Production Processes
- Ability to obtain a security clearance
- Ability to travel domestic and/or international at least 30% of the time
- Ability to interpret drawings, Computer-Aided Design (CAD) models, product/performance specifications and other systems-integration technical data
- Ability to use MS Office tools (Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and changing environment
- Demonstrated effective interpersonal skills, including team building, collaboration and developing enduring business relationships
- Demonstrated effective communication skills including verbal, listening, technical writing and presentations
- Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve technical/process issues varying from basic to very complex

Desired Skills
- Experience in design for manufacturing / assembly or design to cost
- Experience with leading - Experience working with customers
- Experience with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)
- Lean/Six Sigma Yellow or Green certification
- Knowledge of SAP and/or MRP production control system
- Proven ability to improve cost, schedule, quality and/or safety
Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $85300.00 - $158300.00

Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
