Standard Job Description

This position is for a technical lead within the AMMM sustainment reliability engineering team. As a Level 5 technical lead, the position requires team oversight of technical tasks, resource prioritization, technical consultation with leadership, and leadership of strategic initiatives and projects. Those capabilities will be applied to sustainment reliability engineering functions such as reliability monitoring, fleet reliability assessment, LRU performance evaluation and design improvement strategies, integration of Logisitcs Support Analysis (LSA) data, and application of R&M principles to Technical Publications data. This position requires internal team leadership, presentation to other LM departments and external customers, and the ability to work critical or special projects for the department.

Performs technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for total systems. Analyses are performed at all levels of total system product to include: concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance and disposal. Ensures the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints. Performs functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications. For positions that perform IT responsibilities, use E646, Systems Engr-IT.

Basic Qualifications

  • Experience in reliability or maintainability or sustainment engineering (e.g. design influence, field performance analysis and monitoring).  
  • Team leadership experience or demonstrated collaborative project experience.
  • Demonstrated experience leading projects delivering results.

Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $129000.00 - $239600.00
