The Opportunity
Eligibility: Applicants must be Australian citizens and be eligible to obtain and maintain an active Australian Government Defence security clearance at the level required for the position.
We are seeking an experienced Material Planner to support the UH-60M Black Hawk program, delivering critical supply planning and logistics support across Base and Line Maintenance operations. Working within a dynamic Defence environment, you will play a key role in ensuring maintenance activities are supported through effective inventory management, supply planning, and stakeholder engagement.
This position serves as a vital link between the UHSPO, maintenance units, and industry supply partners, ensuring the right materials are available when and where they are needed to support operational readiness.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide supply planning and investigation support across the full spectrum of UH-60M Line and Base Maintenance activities.
- Act as the primary conduit between UHSPO RIM/SIM, industry warehouses/distribution networks, and unit maintenance planners.
- Conduct material planning activities to ensure inventory holdings meet maintenance capability requirements.
- Deliver detailed supply support for Phase Maintenance Inspection (PMI) activities.
- Review and analyse logistics data within relevant Commonwealth systems.
- Work closely with Regiment, UHSPO logistics, and maintenance teams to support ongoing maintenance operations.
- Ensure compliance with DASA regulations relating to the management of aeronautical products.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and perform additional duties as required.
To be successful in this role, you will bring strong logistics and supply chain experience, ideally gained within a Defence or complex maintenance environment.
Essential Experience
- Significant exposure to, or experience within, a Defence logistics environment.
- Strong experience using logistics and inventory management systems.
- Experience in logistics material planning and/or maintenance planning activities.
- Ability to analyse supply requirements and proactively manage inventory demands.
- Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
Desirable Experience
- Experience working within an Integrated Project Team (IPT).
- Aviation maintenance or aerospace logistics experience.
- Knowledge of Defence maintenance and supply support processes.
