Lockheed Martin is seeking a Hardware IPT Lead to lead a cross functional team of engineers in the development of mechanical and electrical hardware components in Grand Prairie, TX. The candidate should have a strong background in mechanical, electrical, or electromechanical engineering and experience leading a cross functional technical team in a development environment.

The Hardware IPT Lead’s duties will include oversight of hardware troubleshooting and dispositioning of hardware (MRBE), review of requirements and drawings, supporting program and technical reviews, team tasking, and customer review coordination/materials. Additionally, the Hardware IPT Lead will support risk and opportunity management, schedule performance, and supplier technical support and management. As well as regular technical lead activities, the candidate will support Program business capture activities, including: trade studies, white papers, technical analysis, and creating BOE’s and proposal write-ups. Travel to other LM facilities or supplier sites will be required on an as-needed basis.

The ideal candidate would be proficient in the use of CREO, have excellent verbal, presentation, GD&T, and written skills. Candidate should be able to work with a diverse team of internal organizations, managing supplier inputs, and developing internal documentation to meet contractual delivery expectations. Individual should be familiar with mechanical and electrical hardware fabrication approaches and techniques. Previous missile experience preferred. A secret security clearance, or ability to obtain one, is required. Position is in Grand Prairie, TX.

Basic Qualifications

  • B.S. Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field and at least 5 years of relevant experience.
  • Candidate must be a US Citizen with the ability to obtain a DoD Secret Clearance.
  • Engineering team or IPT lead experience including task planning, budget management, subcontract management and/or management, subcontract management and/or employee development and mentoring
  • Experience with CREO or similar CAD software
  • Ability to troubleshoot hardware and follow a specification/drawing
  • Knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing in accordance with ASME Y14.5.

Desired Skills

  • Willingness to occasionally travel.
  • Leadership experience, leading tasking and decision making over small or large teams.
  • Experience with hardware build, integration and testing
  • Prior experience working missile programs.

Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $104900.00 - $194700.00
