Doyle, Jr. Combat System Engineering Development Site (CSEDS) with Travel to our Manassas campus for training and development.

The Work
In this exciting role, you will have the opportunity to collaborate with industry-leading design professionals and contribute to groundbreaking projects. Be a part of the SQQ-89 program Field Engineering Team. Work with our team to develop tools for our Navy customer as we deliver the latest capabilities for the fleets tactical systems. The successful candidate will be flexible, motivated, dedicated, detail-focused, team-oriented, and capable of multi-tasking.
As a key member of our Field Engineering team, you will
• Perform under general supervision to complete milestones associated with specific projects
• Conduct Software initial installs of new SQQ-89 Software, and support integration through SOD
• Ensuring system issues are documented and tracked the problem report system and provide SW maintenance as required 
• Manage the incoming SQQ-89 Hardware system, inspect and track defective hardware through the LRU Maintenance and replacement process
• Participate as a member of a multi-disciplinary team during SQQ-89 and Aegis Test events.

Basic Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Applied Mathematics, Physics or related technical field and 3 years of relevant work experience OR 5+ years of directly related hands-on System Integration experience on complex systems.
• Proficient with Linux operating system.
• Experience creating or revising technical system documentation.
• Must be able to utilize Microsoft Windows and Office products in support of day to day tasking.
• Qualified candidate must be eligible for a DoD Secret Security Clearance.

Must be willing/able for inital travel up to 6 weeks with periodic travel to customer sites.

Desired Skills

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Experience integrating and software installs.
• Experience with SQQ-89 or Aegis programs and systems.
• Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic
environment with multiple priorities and deadlines
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team with minimal supervision.
• Strong attention to detail, with ability to ensure
accurate and reliable test results.

Interview Questions

Acclimation to new team: Describe the last time you joined a new organization. How did you get acclimated? What were the most valuable pieces of information you learned or activities you undertook?

Analytical Ability: Give an example of how you applied knowledge from a previous project (or class in the case of a recent graduate) to a later, perhaps more complex project. Did you recognize you were doing so at the time?
Analytical Ability: Give me a specific example of a time when you used good judgment and logic in solving a problem. What steps did you take?
Be accountable: Give me an example of a time you went above or beyond the call of duty in order to get a job done.
Be accountable: Describe a time you had to deal with a particularly difficult resource management issue regarding people, materials, or assets.

Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $79300.00 - $147300.00

  • Annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs may be offered depending on the position. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and can vary from year to year and are tied to a range of performance metrics.
  • For (Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
