The Work

As a Manufacturing Planner, you'll help plan, coordinate, and control the flow of materials and production activities needed to support manufacturing. You'll:

  • Perform Make, Buy, and Bill of Material (BOM) planning activities associated with Manufacturing Resource Planning (MRP) transactions.
  • Manage production schedules, capacity requirements, and material flow to support on-time delivery.
  • Maintain production system integrity and MRP parameters to optimize inventory and minimize costs.
  • Coordinate with Manufacturing and Operations Management to provide shop floor control for make parts.
  • Analyze production schedules and capacity requirements, execute the plan, and provide timely status updates.
  • Identify potential schedule risks and expedite materials or develop workarounds to protect the production schedule.
  • Partner with Supply Chain stakeholders, including Procurement and Operations, to develop and execute time-phased plans for purchased parts.
  • Maintain MRP parameters, including lead times and lot sizes, to ensure accurate planning and material availability.
  • Partner with Engineering and Change Board representatives to implement BOM changes and ensure production plans reflect current requirements.
  • Work across functional teams to resolve material and production issues and keep manufacturing activities moving forward.

We work across Manufacturing, Operations, Procurement, Supply Chain, and Engineering to ensure the right materials are available at the right time and production plans can be executed successfully.

Our team plays a critical role in connecting the planning process to the shop floor. We solve problems, respond to changing requirements, and work together to keep production schedules on track while balancing inventory, cost, capacity, and customer needs.

Who You Are

You're a proactive, analytical, and organized professional who enjoys solving problems and working across multiple functions. You understand how material planning, production scheduling, and supply chain execution come together to support successful manufacturing.

You bring:

  • Experience in manufacturing planning, production control, supply chain, materials management, or a related field.
  • Experience working with MRP/ERP systems and production planning processes.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • The ability to manage multiple priorities and respond quickly when production requirements change.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively across Manufacturing, Operations, Procurement, Supply Chain, and Engineering.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining accurate planning and production data.
  • A proactive mindset and the ability to identify potential issues before they impact the production schedule.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Ability to Obtain Security Clearance

Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $81500.00 - $151300.00

  • Annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs may be offered depending on the position. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and can vary from year to year and are tied to a range of performance metrics.
  • For (Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
