THE WORK
- Coordinates with Sourcing, Operations, Design Engineering, the Supply Base and Industry experts to facilitate the design, production, test and qualification of aerospace and defense products.
- Analyzes technical data, designs, preliminary specifications, manufacturing limitations, supplier facilities, and parts/equipment availability.
- Investigates and recommends potential suppliers based on assessments of response to specifications, costs, inspection of facilities, and historical performance.
- Facilitate technical trade-offs and standardization that may lead to more economical procurement.
- Recommends design changes to mitigate production issues.
- Leads teams of Supplier and internal staff in collaboratively solving problems in Producibility, Quality, Inspection, Cost, Mistake-Proofing, Test, Reliability and Affordability.
- Up to 50% travel

Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or equivalent experience/combined education.
- Ability to lead and participate in cross functional investigation team frameworks
- Working knowledge of industry standards and manufacturing processes
- Use of and understanding of Root Cause Analysis tools
- Understanding of AS9100 and/or similar Quality Management Systems
- Understanding of AS9102 FAI requirements
- Experience working in cross functional team environments
- Abiity to obtain Security clearance
Desired Skills
- 5+ years of operations experience

Background in a STEM discipline (e.g., engineering, computer science, physics, mathematics, or a related field).
- Quality Management System and manufacturing process auditing experience
- Extensive Supplier management experience
- Formal/Informal project management experience
- Extensive working knowledge of AS9102 requirements
- Working knowledge of SAP based ERP/MES systems
- Extensive manufacturing experience with multiple product manufacturing processes
- Electromechanical product experience
- Experience reviewing Supplier Statements of Work
- Experience leading or being a key participant in formal process improvement projects
- Ability to work independently without appreciable direction
- Strong communication skills
- Supplier management experience
Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $118000.00 - $219100.00

- Annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs may be offered depending on the position. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and can vary from year to year and are tied to a range of performance metrics.
- For (Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
