The Work
The Launchers and C-UAS Integrated Engineering team is seeking a Member of Engineering Staff – Systems Engineer to support Launchers and Weapons programs within Lockheed Martin's portfolio. The candidate in this role may work on the total system product to include: conceptual design, requirements documentation, and model-based systems engineering. The candidate in this role performs functional analysis, timeline analysis, detailed trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications.

Tasks for Member of Engineering Staff – Systems Engineer on these projects include:
• Developing systems and system element architecture, design, and interface definitions
• Participating in System Reviews (SRRs), and external interface discussions with customer organizations.
• Supporting internal and external design reviews.
• Executing Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) efforts across multiple programs.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering is required from an accredited University plus a minimum of 2 years of experience.
  • Candidates must have the ability to obtain a DoD security clearance to at least the Secret level.
  • Basic Familiarity with the systems development life-cycle.
  • Ability and willingness to travel up to 25%.

Desired Skills

  • Basic Familiarity with system engineering processes, including top-down design, requirements allocation/traceability, and integrated test approach.
  • Basic Experience in working within an integrated team environment.
  • Possess excellent communication skills and be able to work with minimal day to day supervision.
  • Be well organized, take direction well, and be a self-starter willing to seek assignments and guidance.
  • Have strong analytical and problem solving skills and demonstrated ability to comprehend and work successfully with complex systems.

Pay Information 

  • $75000.00 - $142760.00

  • For (Washington state applicants only) Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
