THE WORK
• Apply your technical expertise in a collaborative fashion, to plan, design, develop, validate, and verify cybersecurity solutions across the system lifecycle.
• Conduct cyber risk assessment activities including threat modeling, vulnerability analysis and analysis of mitigation solutions.
• Develop, evaluate, and analyze design constrains, trade-offs and detailed system and security design as they pertain to the cyber domain.
• Coordinate with other cybersecurity engineers, system architects, and developers to provide oversight in the development of robust solutions.
• Conduct cybersecurity test and evaluation of hardware and/or software designs to verify and validate compliance with defined specifications and requirements.
• Employ cybersecurity processes, methods, techniques, and tools and assure their consistent application.
• Implement appropriate assessment and authorization activities, as required by customers.
• Support Proposals by providing inputs to technical volumes, developing cybersecurity basis of estimates, and participating in Independent Technical Reviews (ITRs).
• Lead coordination of Cybersecurity Functional Metrics, to include Productivity Metrics, and data supporting Cost Estimates, and Staffing.

Basic Qualifications
• Active SECRET security clearance, and ability to maintain the security clearance.
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college in a related discipline (such as Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or Computer Engineering), or equivalent experience/combined education, with 9 years of professional experience; or 7 years of professional experience with a related master’s degree.
• DoD 8570 approved baseline certification for IAT Level II (IE CompTIA Security+, GSEC SSCP, CCNA-Security) or ability to achieve certification within 6 months.
• Strong background in Model‑Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) and systematic requirements decomposition
• Experience working in Agile development environments, including participation in Daily Scrums, Sprint Planning, Sprint Review, and Retrospectives using tools such as JIRA.
• Demonstrated ability to work with appreciable direction; and exercise sound judgement in determining technical objectives and approaches to meeting commitments.
Desired Skills
• Ability to provide status and communicate effectively with internal and external customers (e.g., Program Management, Customer Counterparts, and Supply Chain Vendors).
• Proficient in creating activity diagrams, black‑box and white‑box models using Cameo Systems Modeler (or equivalent SysML tools such as IBM Rational Rhapsody.
• Demonstrated working knowledge of decomposing functional requirements from customer specifications into clear, traceable system‑level and product‑level requirements.
• Hands-on experience with DOORS, DOORS Next Gen, Jazz
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to apply an adversarial mindset in developing and evaluating cybersecurity countermeasures.
• Strong understanding of the Risk Management Framework (RMF) process.

- $91000.00 - $181113.00

- For (Washington state applicants only) Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
