Standard Job Description
Lockheed Martin Rotary and Mission Systems is seeking a Precision Assembly Technician. In this role, you will:
- Assemble micro-mechanical and electronic components inside a cleanroom environment, often under a binocular stereo microscope
- Test and inspect assemblies and sensors
- Solder fine-pitch electronic components
- Work from schematics, blueprints and oral instructions to construct assemblies, sub-assemblies and component
Basic Qualifications
- Experience building ultra-precision mechanical assemblies using a binocular stereo microscope and micro-tools.
- Experience soldering fine-pitch electronic components
- Exceptional hand-eye coordination, depth perception, and steady hands for intricate assembly of small components under a microscope
- Ability to maintain intense concentration during repetitive, highly detailed tasks
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Must be a US Citizen
Desired Skills
- Prior hands-on background as a watchmaker, jeweler, or similar micro-precision trade
- Experience working in an ISO/clean room environment with strict cleanroom protocols (gowning, masking, etc.).
- IPC J-STD-001 solder certification.
- Knowledge of Electrostatic Discharge and ESD mitigation principles
- Experience using electronics test equipment (oscilloscopes, multimeters, etc.)
- Computer skills: MS Outlook, Excel, Word, Access
- Team player with demonstrated initiative and accountability
- Effective interpersonal skills and communication skills
- Technical degree in electronics or mechanical related curriculum
Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $50300.00 - $93300.00

Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
