We are pleased to invite applications for the position of Technician Structures /Composites AME Level 3 to join our UH-60M Black Hawk team based in Oakey.

Key responsibilities

As an AME Level 3, you are primarily responsible for directly supporting Maintenance Managers in the execution of maintenance and aviation related duties by providing holistic tactical level task support for a group of maintenance tasks or GAT.


Key responsibilities include the following and more:
 

  • Task Sign-off and Certification of Maintenance within the scope of their authorisation in accordance with AFCAMAN, Book IV, Chapter 3 – Task Sign-off and Certification of Maintenance 
  • Ensuring they are aware of and comply with all relevant Warnings, Cautions and Instructions for their prescribed task
  • Not proceeding past any point in the task where an Error Capture (EC) inspection is required
  • Informing their chain of command when they, or other personnel, are subject to psychological (state-of-mind related) or physiological (physical-related) factors that adversely, or may adversely, impair their ability to perform maintenance or GAT
  • Only operating test and support equipment they are authorised to operate

What you'll bring

To be successful in your role you will demonstrate the following:

  • Platform specific safety familiarisation course (or equivalent)
  • Competence assessment on the task being authorised
  • System or component specific courses for component level maintenance
  • Certificate III (or higher) in Aircraft Structures and Components or Equivalent from a recognised institution
  • Appropriate aircraft trade qualifications (e.g. trade papers, apprenticeship, indentures etc).
  • Good knowledge and understanding of the requirements of DASRs
  • Good level of professional mastery
  • Good understanding of the continuing airworthiness system, PBED principles, WH&S requirements, and effects of Human Factors in maintenance
