Standard Job Description

Manages the design, development, and implementation of testing methods and equipment. Responsible for coordinating subordinate employee recruitment, selection and training, performance assessment, work assignments, salary, and recognition/disciplinary actions. Plans and arranges the labor, schedules, and equipment required for testing and evaluating standard and special devices. Responsible for testing all customer samples and for special tests that cannot be performed in the test area.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or Electrical/Electronics Engineering Technology.
  • Experienced production Test Engineer.
  • ≥ 5 years of progressive experience in electrical‑manufacturing test environments, including test development and production line support.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen and able to obtain/maintain a Secret security clearance.

Desired Skills

  • Proven leadership — experience directing engineering teams (formal or informal), assigning daily tasks, and mentoring/coaching junior talent; can lead recruitment or development initiatives.
  • Strong project‑management background, with a track record of delivering test‑program schedules, budgets, and risk‑mitigation plans on time.
  • Expertise in test‑automation and instrumentation: proficient with NI tools (LabVIEW, LabWindows CVI, TestStand), C/C++ programming, and common COTS test equipment; familiar with WINDCHILL, APRISO, SAP, and related systems.
  • Deep knowledge of electronic components and test hardware; able to interpret test requirements, analyze electrical results, perform detailed failure analysis, and drive root‑cause corrective actions.
  • Excellent communicator and collaborator—adept at presenting technical data to senior leadership, fostering cross‑functional teamwork, and managing multiple concurrent projects in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Be familiar with the following Programs/Test Equipment: PAC-3 CCA, SPEA Testing, i3070 Testing, NGSRI
  • Familiar with the process for stating new Test Programs.

Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $104900.00 - $194700.00

Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
