You will be an Circuit Design Engineer on the Lockheed Martin Missiles & Fire Control (MFC) team. Our group designs, develops, and manufactures advanced products for U.S. and allied military customers—including the Army, Navy, Air Force, Marine Corps, NASA, and dozens of international partners—leveraging cutting‑edge technologies on both legacy and new development platforms.

 

What You Will Be Doing

As the Circuit Design Engineer you will ensure technical excellence across your assigned tasks, drive those tasks to successful completion, and keep stakeholders fully informed of progress and issues. You’ll work closely with production, program, and cross‑functional teams to deliver high‑quality, on‑schedule hardware. Your responsibilities will include:

 

  • Partnering with the Production Operations team to fabricate and assemble hardware components.
  • Guaranteeing technical excellence for every assigned activity, from concept through implementation.
  • Leading tasks to completion on schedule, within budget, and according to defined specifications.
  • Communicating status, risks, and issues clearly to program leadership, technical leadership, functional leads, and external customers.
  • Collaborating with cross‑functional groups—including systems, mechanical, software, and test engineers—to achieve integrated, high‑quality results.

MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN - This position is located at a facility that requires special access. The selected candidate must be able to obtain a secret clearance. 

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering or a closely related STEM field from an accredited university
  • Minimum 1 year of professional experience in circuit design engineering or a related discipline
  • Experience with schematic capture tools such as Siemens Xpedition Enterprise or equivalent
  • Experience with circuit simulation and analysis tools such as Cadence PSpice or equivalent
  • Experience developing and refining system requirements, including performance, interface, and environmental requirements
  • Must be a US Citizen; must be able to obtain a DoD Secret security clearance

Desired Skills

  • Experience supporting high-rate circuit card production is highly desired
  • Experience with MFC circuit card design processes and the Design Assurance process
  • Experience with military standards and specifications, including MIL-STD-461 and MIL-STD-704
  • High-speed design experience including PCIe, Gigabit Ethernet, SERDES, or high-speed memory interfaces (DDR4/5)
  • Experience with Xilinx/AMD FPGA families (UltraScale, Versal)
  • Experience with Mentor Graphics Hyperlynx or equivalent signal integrity tools
  • FPGA design experience; familiarity with Verilog, SystemVerilog, or VHDL
  • Experience with analog and/or digital video system design
  • MATLAB experience
  • Demonstrated effective communication skills
  • Active DoD Secret or Top Secret clearance

Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $81100.00 - $150500.00

Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
