Standard Job Description
You will be the Electro Mechanical Engineer for the Hardware Engineering team at Lockheed Martin Missiles and Fire Control (MFC). Our team delivers precision engagement aerospace and defense systems, designing, building and fielding the electrical hardware that powers missiles, sensors and other mission critical subsystems for the United States and allied militaries.
What You Will Be Doing
As the Electromechanical Design Engineer you will create innovative electromechanical concepts, develop production‑ready hardware, and partner with a broad set of engineers to ensure seamless integration of your designs into defense programs. Your responsibilities will include:
- Designing and developing electromechanical subsystems such as circuit‑card assemblies (CCAs), wiring harnesses, electronic enclosures, and related sub‑assemblies.
- Producing detailed mechanical layouts, 3‑D models, and engineering drawings, selecting appropriate materials, components, and manufacturing processes.
- Modeling wiring harnesses in Zuken and generating complete Bills of Material.
- Creating model‑based routing and layout packages that satisfy size, weight, and power constraints.
- Defining acceptance‑test criteria, executing verification tests, and documenting results in Windchill.
- Managing Material Review Board (MRB) actions, updating engineering change records, and maintaining configuration control.
- Collaborating with structural and thermal analysts, configuration management, electrical/mechanical designers, subcontractors, planning, and quality personnel to deliver integrated solutions.
- Providing technical support during design releases, assembly, inspection, and test phases.
- Traveling to supplier sites or manufacturing facilities as needed to resolve issues and validate hardware.
- Applying electrical, electronic, and mechanical principles to component analysis, prototype fabrication, and quality testing throughout the product lifecycle.

Basic Qualifications
• Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a closely related STEM field from an accredited university; Master’s degree preferred
or Minimum 5 years of professional experience in Electromechanical Engineering or related discipline without a degree
• Minimum 3 years of professional experience in Electromechanical Engineering or related discipline
• Experience with CREO and Windchill or equivalent CAD and PLM tools
• Experience with MFC circuit card and printed wiring board packaging design
• Experience with Technical Data Package generation, including BOM creation in Windchill, 2D drawings, and 3D modeling
• Working knowledge of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing)
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Experience working with defense customers
• Team management experience
• Must be a US Citizen; must possess or be able to obtain a DoD Secret security clearance

• IRAD to LRIP transition experience
• Experience working with production and quality teams
• MRB authority experience
• Experience with electronics, machined components, test equipment, cable assemblies, and circuit cards
• Experience with Windchill PDM (Product Data Management)

Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $85300.00 - $158300.00

Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
