You will be a Global Sustainment Systems Architect - Level 3.
What You Will Be Doing
As part of LM Aeronautics Global Sustainment team, this Sustainment Systems Architect will report to the Director of Digital Sustainment & Analytics (DSA). The selected candidate will work as part of an integrated architecture and engineering team supporting Sustainment’s Modeling Value Stream (MVS), Internal Research & Development (IRAD), Logistics IT (LogIT), Multi-Year Program (MYP), and various ongoing digital transformation initiatives and other high visibility projects. The candidate will support Sustainment’s senior Systems Architects, Data Architects, and Systems Engineers in developing and maintaining system, data, and interface architectures.
Primary responsibilities include:
- Supporting architecture development for the Sustainment Intelligence Foundation, Sustainment Centralized Data Repository, and the annual Sustainment internal research and development portfolio.
- Developing and maintaining system architecture artifacts, including system context diagrams, functional and logical views, data flows, interface definitions, requirements allocations, and technology roadmaps.
- Translating business, mission, and technical requirements into practical architectural solutions under the guidance of senior technical leaders.
- Supporting the design and integration of Logistics Information Technology systems with external U.S. Government and industry cloud, data, and legacy system environments.
- Participating in technical trade studies to evaluate architecture alternatives, integration approaches, technology maturity, implementation risk, and alignment with customer needs.
- Collaborating with systems engineers, data architects, software teams, cybersecurity personnel, program stakeholders, and external partners to develop integrated solutions.
- Supporting the application of systems engineering, data architecture, software architecture, and Model-Based Systems Engineering practices.
- Contributing to internal and external technical reviews, including preparation and presentation of architecture products and supporting technical data.
- Identifying architecture dependencies, interface risks, gaps, and opportunities for reuse or commonality across Sustainment initiatives.
- Maintaining awareness of emerging technologies and assessing their potential applicability to Sustainment missions, including cloud computing, advanced analytics, artificial intelligence, machine learning, modeling, and simulation.
- Supporting architectural approaches that enable continuous, incremental delivery of customer and stakeholder capabilities.

This role can be performed in Fort Worth, Texas or Orlando, Florida.
Basic Qualifications
- Experience in systems engineering, systems architecture, data architecture, software engineering, or a related technical discipline.
- Experience developing, analyzing, or maintaining system architecture, system design, requirements, data flows, or interface documentation.Working knowledge of systems engineering principles and architecture development practices.
- Experience supporting the integration of systems, applications, databases, or external interfaces.
- Experience working collaboratively across engineering, software, data, program, or business teams.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. DoD security clearance at the SECRET level. U.S. Citizenship is required.
Desired Skills
- Experience with logistics, maintenance, supply chain, readiness, or other Sustainment-related information systems, such as ALIS, ODIN, or IMISExperience with cloud-based and legacy system integration, including interfaces with U.S. Government or industry environments.
- Experience with data architecture, data modeling, data management, data configuration management, data quality, or data health reporting.
- Experience developing system architecture artifacts using Model-Based Systems Engineering methods or architecture modeling tools.
- Familiarity with enterprise or System-of-Systems architecture concepts and frameworks.Experience with interface requirements, data exchange specifications, application programming interfaces, or Interface Control Documents.Familiarity with software development, DevSecOps, cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, machine learning, modeling, simulation, or optimization technologies.
- Experience supporting technical trade studies, design reviews, internal research and development projects, or technology maturation efforts.
- Ability to work independently on assigned tasks and incorporate guidance and feedback from senior technical personnel.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to document and present technical information.
- Ability to analyze complex technical problems and develop practical solutions under general direction.
Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $98100.00 - $182100.00

- Annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs may be offered depending on the position. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and can vary from year to year and are tied to a range of performance metrics.
- For (Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
