Standard Job Description
Basic Qualifications
- BS in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, aerospace engineering, physics, computer science, applied mathematics, or similar STEM degree
- 1 - 2+ years of hands‑on experience performing guidance, navigation, or flight control engineering on aerospace or missile applications
- Solid foundation in linear algebra, dynamics, coordinate frame transformations, and fundamental control theory (PI filters, Laplace transform, Fourier analysis, state-space modeling, etc.)
- Demonstrated understanding of Air Vehicle dynamics, aerodynamics, propulsion, and environmental disturbance modeling
- Demonstrated understanding of guidance law development or autopilot/flight controls algorithm development
- US Citizenship and an ability to attain Secret Clearance is required
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills to include generation and presentation of verification plans, analysis reports, algorithm description documentation, other technical documents
- Familiarity in SW development environments like Git using programming languages such as MATLAB, Python, C++, FORTRAN, or Ada
Desired Skills
- Master's degree in an engineering discipline with concentration in controls, flight dynamics, or guidance
- Experience using a Linux-based operating system
- Experience integrating and testing hardware and software in Hardware In-the-Loop (HWIL)
- Experience with flight-control hardware, actuator interfaces, and inertial sensors
- Effective oral presentation skills for design reviews
- Prior experience supporting flight tests
Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $81100.00 - $150500.00

Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
