Standard Job Description

  • Analyzes and designs sequence of operations and work flow to improve efficiencies in plant and production facilities and equipment layouts; and establishes methods for maximum utilization of production facilities and personnel.
  • May establish or assist in establishing accident prevention measures and may manage training programs for personnel concerning all phases of production operations.
  • Conducts studies pertaining to cost control, cost reduction, inventory control, and production record systems. 
  • On the basis of these studies, develops and implements plans and programs for facility modifications and revisions to operating methods.
  • May assist facilities engineers in the planning and design of facilities.
  • Design and implement production flow lines for process efficiency 
  • Analyze and execute layout projects for maximum utilization of manufacturing floor space
  • Ensure production areas are up to 6S standards
  • Conduct times studies for data collection and optimization of production processes
  • Act as PMT (Performance Management Team) Coordinator providing continuous coordination and support to keep production areas aligned, on-track, and moving through their milestones
  • Act as Tech Insertion Coordinator driving the factory's Technology Insertion pipeline, shepherding automation tools and process improvements from "finished tool" through validation and into official PUSH submittal for cost-savings credit

Basic Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or related field, with 2 years of professional experience

- MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

- Capable of leading improvement / optimization projects

- Experience with statistical analysis and data analytics

- Familiarity with SAP or a related manufacturing system

- Knowledge of Lean manufacturing concepts and technique and experience generating/implementing process improvements

Desired Skills

- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with multiple priorities and deadlines

- Must have strong interpersonal skills and be able to work effectively in a team environment

- Excellent verbal/written communications skills

- Experience with analytical tools (Tableau, PowerBI)

Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $70500.00 - $130900.00

Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
