We are experiencing growth and we are looking for
a Mechanical Design Senior Engineer for the Legion Pod Sensor team. 

 

What You Will Be Doing:


As the Mechanical Engineering Designer Sr, you will be responsible for supporting the Integrated Product Team in creating detailed designs, layouts, and drawings for various components and subassemblies. You will play a key role in developing and generating CREO layouts, detailed drawings, and design documentation, ensuring seamless collaboration with cross-functional teams. 

Your responsibilities will include: 

  • Developing and generating CREO layouts and detailed drawings for ICDs, components, sub-assemblies, assemblies, and integration test articles
  • Building BOMs, creating parts, assemblies, and design documentation within Windchill PLM
  • Coordinating with the IPT team, suppliers, GSC, electronic packaging, optics, and structural/thermal/material analysts to ensure design excellence
  • Managing drawing releases, responding to CRs, generating CN's, and presenting/supporting change boards and design reviews
  • Performing design trade studies to evaluate cost, weight, performance, and structural/thermal benefits 

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or aerospace engineering is required with a minimum of 5 years of releveant experience.
  • Experience with CAD systems, perferably CREO (Pro/Engineer) and PTC Windchill.
  • Experience with creating engineering drawings in accordance with ASME Y14.100 is required.
  • Basic understanding interpreting and developing GD&T in accordance with ASME Y14.5 is required.
  • Needs ability to obtain/maintain a secret clearance. US citizenship required.

Desired Skills

  • Previous precision mechanical or opto-mechanical experience is highly desirable.
  • Previous casting or metal AM experience is highly desirable.
  • Previous Model Based Design (MRB) experience in a production setting is desirable.
  • Prior experience with Targeting sensors.
  • Active Secret Clearance.   

Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $85300.00 - $158300.00

PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
