MFC is seeking an Operations Quality Engineer (QE) for our Optical Components manufacturing center based out of Orlando, FL. 

The position requires quality engineering experience with an emphasis on electrical, optical, mechanical component assembly and integration testing. 


What You Will Be Doing
Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
• Developing and reviewing quality standards, methods, work instructions/procedures for the inspection and test of manufactured and procured products
• Designing and analyzing inspection/test processes, mechanisms, and equipment
• Evaluating product tests results, performing statistical analysis to assess risk on products or materials that do not meet required standards and specifications.
• Reviewing documentation related to internal and external manufacturing processes to ensure quality products are delivered to the customer.
• Leads and / or participates on Failure Review Boards and other technical investigations.
• Participates as an active member of Material Review Boards.
• Develops and implements new inspection processes and automation methods.
• Ensures effective corrective/preventive action to improve processes.
• Performs special process assessments and audits procedures to ensure compliance to technical specifications, and ISO-9001 / AS9100 Industry standards.
• Interfaces with customers, program personnel on quality related issues.
• Makes the final decision on acceptability of product.

Basic Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree from in a STEM related discipline with 2 or more years of professional experience, 0 years of experience with Master's degree, or equivalent combined experience/education

Candidate must be able to obtain and hold a Secret security clearance

GD&T Experience

SAP Experience

APRISO Experience

Root Cause Analysis experience (Cause Mapping, 5-Why, Fishbone, etc.)

Demonstrated Presentation skills

Experience conducting First Article Inspections (FAI) to AS9102

Desired Skills

Manufacturing Environment Experience

Green or Black Belt Certification

AS9102 interpretation and application experience

Effective communication and interpersonal skills

Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $70500.00 - $130900.00

PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
