You will be the Machine Shop Quality Engineer Senior for the Machining Operations Center. Our team is responsible for delivering high‑quality machined components and assemblies that meet stringent aerospace standards.

What You Will Be Doing
As the Machine Shop Quality Engineer Senior you will be responsible for establishing and maintaining quality excellence across our machining operations.

Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

Develop and review quality standards, work instructions, and inspection procedures for manufactured and procured parts.

Lead Material Review Boards and Failure Review Boards to drive root‑cause analysis and corrective actions.

Perform audits and assessments to ensure compliance with ISO‑9001 / AS9100 and engineering specifications.

Interface with customers, suppliers, and program personnel on quality‑related issues.

Implement new inspection processes and automation methods to improve efficiency.

Basic Qualifications

-STEM Degree at a Bachelor level or above or equivalent experience/combined education

-Ability to interpret drawings an specifications for development of quality standards, methods, work instructions and procedures for inspect of manufactured products (machined components and assemblies)

-In-depth understanding of GD&T principles (ASME Y14.5-2009) and application

-Demonstrated ability to use casual analysis tools to analyze and resolve technical/process issues

-Proficient skill level with Microsoft Office applications

Desired Skills

-Experience with automated processes and robotic technologies

-Lean / Six Sigma Green or Black Belt certification

-Experience working with Mil-Spec special processes (heat treatment, stress relief, chem-film, anodize, passivation, organic coatings, etc.).

-Experience with paint application (spray, touch-up) and masking processes for components and assemblies.

-Experience with chemistry including execution of titrations.

-Experience with use of inspection gages and measuring equipment

-Experience with material review board requirements, evaluating risk and impact to overall system requirements

-Demonstrated understanding of audit techniques

Full-Time Salary Range: $85300.00 - $158300.00
