Lockheed Martin is seeking a Senior Strategic Operations Researcher to join the Operations Analysis team. In this role, you will support modeling and simulation efforts focused on warfighting demonstrations, training events, exercises, and operational analysis. You will help develop and apply analytical approaches that inform mission understanding, support customer objectives, and improve the effectiveness of training and exercise environments.
As part of our OA team, you will:
Support modeling and simulation activities for warfighting demonstrations, training events, exercises, and analysis efforts aligned to program objectives.
Apply operations research and analytical methods to assess mission outcomes, operational effectiveness across complex scenarios.
Develop, configure, adapt, and employ simulation tools and data sets in support of military training and exercise environments.
Support live, virtual, and constructive simulation activities and contribute to the preparation, execution, and assessment of events.
Collaborate with program teams, analysts, operators, and customer stakeholders to define analytical objectives and deliver mission-relevant products.
Translate complex technical and analytical results into clear briefings, written products, and recommendations for leadership and customers.
Contribute to scenario development, event support, and post-event analysis for warfighter focused demonstrations, exercises, and wargames.
Manage multiple priorities and deliver high-quality products in dynamic, fast-paced, customer-facing environments.
Travel as needed to support training events, exercises, demonstrations, and customer engagement activities.
Who You Are:
You are a mission-focused operations analysis and modeling & simulation professional with experience supporting military training, exercises, and warfighting environments. You are comfortable working in technically complex and operationally dynamic settings, and you bring a strong understanding of how simulation and analysis support readiness, decision-making, and mission effectiveness.
You bring:
Experience in modeling and simulation in support of training, exercises, demonstrations, wargames, and operational analysis.
A solid understanding of military tactics, doctrine, and warfighting concepts, especially in Joint or Army training environments.
The ability to apply analytical methods, including measures of effectiveness and measures of performance, to assess mission and training outcomes.
Experience working in live, virtual, and constructive simulation environments and supporting event execution from planning through assessment.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively with evolving or ambiguous requirements.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present technical findings to both technical and non-technical audiences.
The ability to collaborate effectively across cross-functional teams, customer organizations, and geographically dispersed stakeholders.
A proactive, self-directed work ethic with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
Professional presence and sound judgment in customer-facing environments supporting high-visibility mission events.
Basic Qualifications
- 5 years of experience
- Related experience in Military Tactics/Doctrine
- Experience working in the Live/Virtual/Constructive Simulation space
- Active US DoD security clearance
Desired Skills
- Army or Joint Warfighter/ Command & Staff training simulation experience using WARSIM, OneSAF, JCATS, CBS, AWSIM, RESA, and MTWS
- Experience in Warfighter & Command & Staff training exercises at the brigade, division, and corps level
- Familiarity with simulation data base structure and content
- Base familiarity with Army and Joint Command & Control Systems and Intelligence collection systems
- Experience with legacy intelligence systems (BICM/TACSIM)
- Experience in Warfighter/Warfighter-like exercises at the brigade, division and corps level with participation in exercises
- Military career with joint service
- Possess solid understanding of the concepts of opposing force structure / employment as represented for training purposes in war game scenarios
- Strong technical experience with ability to work with ambiguous requirements
- Experience with Jira
- Experience being a customer liaison and communicating technical and business priorities at all organizational levels
- Understanding of Basis of Estimates (BOEs)
Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $85300.00 - $158300.00

Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
