What We’re Doing
Lockheed Martin’s Rotary & Mission Systems (LM RMS) Security & Emergency Services team seeks security professionals to protect critical government capabilities that enable warfighter supremacy against peer and near‑peer adversaries. In this role you will safeguard sensitive information and warfighting systems essential to U.S. and allied interests, working alongside other security experts and military personnel to provide a secure operating environment. You will leverage your education, experience, and Lockheed Martin resources to keep these capabilities protected in a fast‑paced, real‑world setting.

The Work
Location: Owego, NY – supporting multiple programs.
Title: Classified Cyber Security / Information System Security Officer (ISSO).

Key responsibilities:

Oversee daily information‑system (IS) security operations, including hardware/software deployments.
Perform technical administration of IS per internal and customer security requirements, primarily the Risk Management Framework (RMF).
Conduct audits, monitor, analyze, and respond to network and security events.
Document compliance actions in the automated tracking system or develop POA&M s with the Information Systems Security Manager (ISSM).
Ensure systems are operated, maintained, and disposed of according to security policies and the security plan.
Maintain configuration‑management (CM) records for security‑relevant software, hardware, and firmware baselines.
Keep all IS security documentation current and accessible to authorized personnel.
Evaluate proposed system changes, advising the ISSM on security implications.
Provide IS security education and training.
Participate in internal/external audits, inspections, and risk assessments.
Advise ISSM on technical IS security matters.
Assist investigations of security violations and incidents; report to the Program Security Representative (PSR) and Program Managers.
Ensure corrective actions are applied for identified incidents or vulnerabilities.
Co‑manage the formal Information Security/Information Systems Security Program with the ISSM and PSR.
Implement and enforce security policies and procedures.
Review and manage RMF package authorizations with the ISSM.

Basic Qualifications

Experience implementation security tools such as STIG Viewer, SCAP, SPLUNK, QMULOS, and Nessus.

DoD 8140 approved baseline certification or education for IAM Level I (ie CompTIA Security+, CAP, GSLC, etc)

Experience designing, implementing, deploying, and maintaining secure information system architectures to protect and enable the engineering of innovative products.

Ability to work in a team environment as well as independently, demonstrate excellent problem-solving abilities, be well organized, flexible, and self-motivated.

Experience providing technical security expertise and oversight for complex classified networked environments in collaboration with customers, Information Technology (IT), and other functional support departments. 

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college in a related discipline (such as Information Assurance, Computer Science, or Information Technology), or equivalent experience/combined education, with 5 years of professional experience; or 3 years of professional experience with a related master’s degree.

Full-Time Salary Range: $85300.00 - $158300.00

PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
