What You Will Be Doing
As the Applications Engineer Sr - Level 3 you will be required to execute the planning, development, and integration of advanced manufacturing technologies to resolve technical manufacturing problems as well as support the development of the next generation of Manufacturing Systems.
Your responsibilities will include
- Plan, develop, and integrate advanced manufacturing technologies to resolve technical manufacturing challenges.
- Investigate production‑system capabilities and evaluate software tools that can enhance fabrication and assembly processes.
- Design new production processes, coordinate digital‑transformation solutions with IT architects, and present requirements to core process owners.
- Lead technical project‑management activities for major initiatives, ensuring timely delivery and stakeholder alignment.
- Develop, document, train, and deploy Production Operations Business Processes using Siemens Xcelerator and Dassault 3DX tool suites.
- Candidates must be able to investigate and gather information concerning the technical capabilities of production operations systems and stay abreast of developments in software that may be used to improve existing fabrication and assembly processes.
- This position will require good communication skills to be able to analyze customer problems, create new production processes within current framework, coordinate capability solutions for manufacturing digital transformation and communicate requirements to information technology architects, and present solutions to the functional core process owners.
- Candidate will support the successful completion of major projects and may function in a technical project management role. May interact with senior personnel and management on significant technical matters often requiring coordination between functions and other Lockheed Martin business areas.

Gathers information concerning the capabilities of company products; investigates the technical capabilities of company products and competing equipment; stays abreast of developments in hardware and software; analyzes customer problems; assists in designing systems to satisfy customer needs. Prepares equipment analysis to instruct sales force and customers in equipment capabilities. May prepare and present sales proposals.
Basic Qualifications
- Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) manufacturing applications with experience in a broad range of operations applications and workflows
- Experience in manufacturing systems, business processes, and methods
Desired Skills
- Product Lifecycle Management (PLM, TeamCenter or 3DX)
- Working knowledge of Design systems (Siemens Xcelerator and Dassault 3DX) and their manufacturing applications
- Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) manufacturing applications with experience in Manufacturing Bill of Materials (MBOM), Process Plan, Condition of Supply, Tooling, Configuration Management, and/or Workflow processes
- Experience in Aeronautical manufacturing systems, business processes, and methods with the ability to utilize that knowledge in developing a digital manufacturing system.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work as part of a semi-virtual team.
- Experience working with PLM, Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), and Manufacturing
- Execution Systems (MES) and the related integrations between these systems
- Experience in the following:
- Process development across multiple systems
- Model Based Engineering
- Digital Transformation
- CATIA / 3DX / DELMIA
- Teamcenter / Xcelerator
- Quality Center (HPQC)
- Documenting business processes
- Documenting training requirements
- Providing end user training and support
- Authoring requirements specifications

- Defect management
Pay Information
GeoZone Definition: GeoZones are geographic groupings created by Lockheed Martin to align compensation ranges with regional labor markets and cost-of-labor differences across the United States. Locations are assigned a Geo Zone based on the primary work location of the role.
- Full-time salary range (GEOZONE 1): $106600.00 - $198000.00
- Includes metropolitan areas such as Sunnyvale CA; Pal Alto, CA; New York City metropolitan area; Newark, New Jersey; etc.
- Full-time salary range (GEOZONE 2): $95900.00 - $178100.00
- Includes metropolitan areas such as Denver, CO; King of Prussia, PA; Stratford, CT; Moorestown, NJ; etc.
- Full-time salary range (GEOZONE 3): $85300.00 - $158300.00

- For (Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
