Standard Job Description

This position is for a Flight Test Engineer, a senior member of an ADP Flight Test Engineering team.

This individual will develop and publish Detailed Test Plans (DTPs), test schedules, and test procedures for developmental testing.

Provide laboratory support for integration testing. Support and host Test Plan Working Groups (TPWGs). You will support Test Readiness Reviews (TRRs), conduct Test Safety Review Boards (TSRB) and conduct pre/post-test briefings.

 

You will interface with test article design and analysis teams to define test configuration and data requirements.

Evaluate test requirements to ensure they meet the needs of the test program.

Support test card development and review in collaboration with Discipline Engineers and other Test and Evaluation personnel. Provide mission control room support and makes real-time decisions regarding safety, efficiency, and effectiveness.

 

This position requires outstanding written and oral communications skills. Individual will be required to serve as subject matter expert between maintenance, design engineering, test site team, and customer for their assigned projects.

Individual must be able to work under only general direction to determine and develop approaches to solutions; must be able to work both within the team environment and independently; must be self-motivated, thorough, detailed; and must be willing to learn.

 

US Citizenship and an active Top Secret security clearance are required to start.

 

Basic Qualifications

  • US Citizenship and an active Top Secret security clearance are required to start.
  • Bachelors or higher degree from an accredited college in a STEM related discipline, and/or equivalent experience/combined education with commensurate years of professional experience.
  • Experience and ability to create Test Plans and Cards
  • Flight Test Mission Control Room (MCR) or fly aboard execution experience
  • Test Conductor or Test Director experience
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office and Interactive Analysis and Display System (IADS)

Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $118000.00 - $219100.00
