What You Will Be Doing
As the Systems Engineer Sr for the Advanced Development Program (ADP) – Skunk Works, you will be responsible for delivering integrated systems engineering support across a cutting‑edge ADP effort, driving requirements, risk, architecture, and airworthiness activities while championing Model Based Systems Engineering.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Tracking and managing program requirements, ensuring traceability and compliance.
- Conducting risk assessments and mitigation planning across disciplines.
- Developing and evaluating system architectures and perform technical trade studies.
- Creating verification and validation plans, supporting airworthiness certification.
- Driving MBSE adoption and digital transformation initiatives within the team.

This position is in Palmdale, CA.
MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN - This position is located at a facility that requires special access. The selected candidate must possess an Interim Top Secret clearance to start.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university in Systems Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or related technical STEM degree.
- Risk Management
- MBSE
- Requirements Tracking/Analysis
Desired Skills
- Experience executing in a digital engineering environment (i.e., MBSE and digital twin)
- Experience with DOORS, Rhapsody, 3DX, Cameo, or other digital engineering tools
- Ability to work with different engineering disciplines to derive and decompose requirements
- Work experience with operational modeling tools
- Experience using software tools (such as MS Excel , JIRA and Access)
- Experience with systems engineering processes, risk management and architecture evaluation
- Good written and verbal communication with experience in writing requirements specifications

Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $95900.00 - $178100.00

- For (Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
