Standard Job Description

Performs all manual and clerical support functions related to any raw material, customer furnished parts, tools, fabricated parts, outside processing, perishable tools and all inventory functions. Uses computer systems as required. Loads, unloads, and conveys materials, tools and jobs and supports movement by use of hand truck, forklift, electric dolly, elevator, or other devices. May interface with customer as required to expedite part shortage and resolve schedule or other part related issues. May update customer computer systems as required to support customer requirements. Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor and/or manager as directed.

Basic Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Requires a well-rounded knowledge of material control functions, covering both shop and storeroom activities in order to plan own work related to receiving, storing, expediting and issuing parts and materials.
  • Minimum of 2 years of production, technical, and/or warehouse experience 
  • Competently uses computers and other systems to access and maintain data.
  • Interpersonal skills and ability to interface with all levels, to work in teams or independently and communicate effectively with co-workers or supervisory staff.

Desired Skills

  • Follow procedures to receive, ship, check, record, store, issue and expedite all parts, materials, and equipment related.
  • Prepare and process all related paperwork using computer systems including SAP, MTO, Solumina, etc.
  • Preserve, pack and create shipping labels for parts, components and materials that need to be shipped to customer.
  • Store incoming items in proper sequence and location.
  • Keep storeroom neat, clean and orderly at all times.
  • Check shipments received for proper number of boxes, packages, or pieces, check packing slips against contents, complete delivery receipts, and move material from unloading areas. 
  • Perform weekly cycle counts and maintaining accurate inventory.
  • Coordinate with other departments to expedite urgently needed items.
  • Follow all rules and regulations pertaining to environmental health and safety.

Pay Information
 
Pay rate for this position is $20.38 - $33.94 per hour.

Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
