Cyber Systems Security Engineer

The Opportunity
Support Cybersecuity Engineering objectives for the Aegis Sustainment program, including:
- Security engineering activities conducted by subject matter experts in the area of Cyber/Infosec and coordination with the Systems Engineers, ICT Engineers and Physical Security teams
- Integrate Cyberworthiness considerations into the engineering effort for systems, subsystems and networks
- Contribute to ICT, Emanation or Physical security certification and accreditation activities throughout the engineering lifecycle
Key Responsibilities
The Cyber Engineer’s primarily responsibilities include:
- Guide the security requirements for the system, subsystems and components
- Review system, subsystem and component design artefacts
- Liaise with Australian Defence Assessment and Authorisation authorities
- Produce/maintain security documentation to support achieving ICT, Emanation and Physical Security accreditation of the systems and networks
- Oversee the transition of systems into sustainment and conduct continuous monitoring activities as required in support of system owner obligations
What you'll bring
- Significant experience in discerning the protection needs (i.e. security controls) of information systems and networks
- Significant experience in the evaluation of ICT infrastructure (Hardware/Software) configurations for security vulnerabilities
- Strong technical documentation skills
- Demonstrate clear understanding of security responsibilities and application
- Experience in large defence programs
- Experience in maritime programs
