Job Title:  Logistics Engineer - Maritime Sustainment

The Opportunity

Eligibility: Applicants must be Australian citizens and be eligible to obtain and maintain an active Australian Government Defence security clearance at the level required for the position.

This role would suit someone with experience in ILS/LSA, sustainment engineering or Product Support, ideally within the defence industry, who can coordinate multiple stakeholders to deliver outcomes.

You will provide Sustainment Engineering Support to the Destroyer Enterprise, coordinating the prioritisation, tracking, delivery and incorporation of Aegis Combat System ILS updates into the Hobart Class DDGs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate updates to the Integrated Logistics Support products for the Royal Australian Navy's Hobart Class Destroyers.
  • Support engineering changes by assessing logistics impacts and coordinating implementation activities.
  • Engage with Defence, industry and international stakeholders to ensure capability availability and sustainment outcomes are achieved.
  • Analyse supportability, inventory and maintenance data to aid in operational readiness.
  • Prepare reports, recommendations and briefings for key stakeholders.

You will bring:

  • Experience in Integrated Logistics Support (ILS), Asset Management, Maintenance Planning or a related discipline.
  • Proven experience supporting complex technical assets or systems.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills and ability to work across multiple organisations.
  • Experience with Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) system and/or Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system.

Highly regarded:

  • Defence, maritime or naval sustainment experience.
  • Experience supporting electronic, electrical or mission-critical systems.
  • Exposure to engineering changes, supportability analysis or obsolescence management.
  • Familiarity with technical manuals and configuration-controlled environments.
