The Opportunity

Eligibility: Applicants must be Australian citizens and be eligible to obtain and maintain an active Australian Government Defence security clearance at the level required for the position.

The Maritime Defence Combat Systems Project Engagement Lead is responsible as the Lockheed Martine Australia  Project Manager for the SEA5000 project and for support to the Cmbat Systems Integration - Integrated Project Team project, acting as the primary Point of Contact (POC) for all resourcing, staffing activities and staff engagement.

This includes operating as the liaison between the SEA5000 and CSI-IPT projects and LMA Functional Managers.

Key Responsibilities

• Report SEA5000 project performance, milestones, budget and progress to senior leadership, ensuring performance is monitored against approved plans.
• Perform CAM responsibilities for SEA5000-related activities.
• Lead LMA resource planning and allocation for CSI-IPT and SEA5000 tasking, ensuring required capability and project outcomes are achieved.
• Work closely with CSI-IPT Talent Management, LMA Functions, HR Business Partners and CSI-IPT partner organisations (SAAB and BAE) to identify and secure resource requirements.
• Lead LMA interests in CSI-IPT and SEA5000 resource allocation, including resourcing meetings and working groups.
• Support CSI-IPT tasking statement development, candidate selection and interviews as required.
• Support functional and project leaders with program-related personnel matters, career management, and resource commencement/termination negotiations.
• Ensure appropriate LMA network access and Export Controls compliance for CSI-IPT new starters, and support their induction into CSI-IPT and SEA5000.

• Highly organised and collaborative project professional who can operate effectively in a complex, multi-stakeholder environment.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills, with the ability to build productive relationships across LMA, Defence, senior leadership and industry partners.
• Demonstrated experience in project performance, financial management and reporting, with the ability to provide clear and timely information to senior stakeholders.
• Proven ability to manage multiple concurrent activities and competing priorities while maintaining attention to detail and delivering outcomes.
• Experience in resource planning, workforce management and integrated project team coordination.
• Ideally, experience working within a defence, maritime or complex engineering project environment.
• Understanding of project governance, compliance and disciplined project execution.
• Proactive and pragmatic approach, with the ability to identify issues, resolve problems and drive outcomes.
