Standard Job Description

Directs all phases of programs from inception through completion. Responsible for coordinating subordinate employee recruitment, selection and training, performance assessment, work assignments, salary, and recognition/disciplinary actions. Responsible for the cost, schedule and technical performance of company programs or subsystems of major programs. Participates in the negotiation of contract and contract changes. Coordinates the preparation of proposals, business plans, proposal work statements and specifications, operating budgets and financial terms/conditions of contract. Acts as primary customer contact for program activities, leading program review sessions with customer to discuss cost, schedule, and technical performance. Establishes design concepts, criteria and engineering efforts for product research, development, integration and test. Develops new business or expands the product line with the customer. Establishes milestones and monitors adherence to master plans and schedules, identifies program problems and obtains solutions, such as allocation of resources or changing contractual specifications. Directs the work of employees assigned to the program from technical, manufacturing and administrative areas.

Basic Qualifications

• Program management leadership of complex programs including capture leadership, development and production efforts

• 4+ years of Program Leadership experience with responsibility for quality/technical, schedule and cost performance

• Experience with Proposals (proposal preparation, Independent Non Advocate Review (INAR),  Executive Planning Panel (EPP), and/or negotiations)

• Strong problem solving skills, with experience in root cause/corrective action

• Experienced in communication with all levels of the organization

• Must set a clear example with their program team and provide clear and timely direction in support of contract requirements

• Experience working with suppliers and subcontract management

• Earned Value Management System (EVMS) and Control Account Manager (CAM) experience

• Risk management experience

• Strong business acumen, with the ability to make decisions that impact the program and drive business results

• Must possess an active Secret Clearance

Desired Skills

  • Demonstrated experience managing complex domestic and international defense programs
  • Proven leadership of cross-functional teams in development and production environments
  • Familiarity with radar systems or related defense technologies
  • Skilled in risk identification, mitigation planning, and root cause analysis
  • Strong business acumen with experience meeting cost, schedule, and technical performance goals
  • Experience in proposal development and supporting capture efforts
  • Knowledge of aftermarket support and sustainment program management
  • PMP certification or equivalent experience is highly desirable

Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $120600.00 - $224000.00
