The Space organization in Sunnyvale, CA has an entry level Quality Engineer opportunity to work within the THAAD Program Quality organization. THAAD has a consistent record of stability with highly evolving technical requirements that drives changes on a regular basis. A significant number of future leaders have been developed with a wide variety of engagement programs and relevant work to develop individual potential. Roles and responsibilities, you will be involved with include:
• You will perform analysis on assembly, process, test, mechanical, electrical, and electromechanical quality records to validate data accuracy, acceptability and completeness.
• Develop and coordinate Quality metrics reports and presentation packages.
• Maintain and support Quality records.
• Ongoing documentation of all discrepancies and engagement with engineering and
manufacturing to disposition non-conformances.
• Develop and provide recommendations to resolve discrepancies and corrective action for recurring nonconformance's.
• Ensure that corrective measures meet acceptable quality standards.
Basic Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college in technical discipline, (e.g., Electrical, Electronic, Manufacturing, Mechanical, Industrial, or Aerospace Engineering) or equivalent discipline (e.g., math, physics, chemistry, etc.).
• Strong critical thinking and analytical skills
• Proficient with Microsoft Office suite and basic computer skills
• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate in a team environment
• Self starter with the ability to work autonomously
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Security clearance required
• US Citizenship required
Desired Skills
• Experience with Quality processes and procedures
• Experience with Root Cause Analysis (RCA)
• Experience interacting with internal and external customers
• Experience in developing and reporting quality metrics
• SAP/ERP and SharePoint experience
• Familiarity with Material Review Boards (MRB) and Failure Review Boards (FRB)
• Experience with Aerospace hardware
Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $72800.00 - $135200.00

- For (Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
