Standard Job Description

Coordinates planning, organization, control, integration and completion of engineering projects within area of assigned responsibility. Plans and formulates engineering program; reviews product design for compliance with engineering principles, company standards, customer contract requirements, and related specifications. Evaluates and approves design changes, specification and drawing releases. Coordinates activities concerned with technical developments, scheduling, and resolving engineering design and test problems.

Lockheed Martin Space is seeking a full-time Early Career Project Engineer within the Fleet Ballistic Missile (FBM) United Kingdom (UK) Program Office, located on the Space Coast of Florida. In this role, you will:

  • Manage contractual requirements
  • Prepare contract proposals and contract modifications
  • Work with the UK Technical Support Contract (TSC) Program Manager, UK TSC Resource Analyst, and Control Account Mangers (CAM) to monitor and help manage overall UK TSC Finances, using a variety of techniques including Earned Value Management
  • Develop and maintain schedules to coordinate and track UK Program Office work scope
  • Assist with facilitating the UK Technical Support Contract’s Risk and Opportunity Management Board (ROMB)
  • Prepare and present briefings in front of LM management, US government personnel, and UK government personnel. 

This posiiton performs their work within a highly collaborative team environment and frequently coordinates with both technical/engineering personnel as well as non-technical personnel.  

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in business administration, accounting, finance, international business, or engineering with business coursework.
  • Willing and able to travel within the US and to the UK.
  • Must be a US Citizen; this position will require a government security clearance.  This position is located at a facility that requires special access.

Desired Skills

  • Proficient with MS Office, including advanced application of formulas in MS Excel, MS Excel visualization tools such as pivot tables, and use of Visual Basic for Applications (VBA) for automating MS Office functions
  • Coursework in project management, contracts, planning, accounting
  • Experience using MS Project 
  • Must be comfortable with public speaking 
  • Demonstrated experience collaborating with technical/engineering personnel through college projects, internships, extracurricular activities, or prior work experience

Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $58200.00 - $108200.00
