Job Description

This position is for a Project Engineer and reports to the Portfolio Integration Lead of the Future Payloads Portfolio within Advanced Strategic Programs. As a Project Engineer, you will be responsible for tracking procurement status from start to finish to ensure procurements are tracked and prioritized to meet program timelines.  

  • Initiate program acquisition requests for hardware and software required by the portfolio
  • Track status of acquisition requests from start to finish, maintaining a detailed database of active procurements, and organizing and prioritizing based on portfolio need
  • Act as liaison between engineering team and supply chain organization to communicate program priority procurements and associated need dates
  • Identify approved vendors for procurements
  • Compile status reports and communicate procurement status to internal stakeholders
  • Assist engineering team with finding substitute parts
  • Coordinate with Configuration Management to ensure hardware being procured is captured in engineering parts list(s)

Coordinates planning, organization, control, integration and completion of engineering projects within area of assigned responsibility. Plans and formulates engineering program; reviews product design for compliance with engineering principles, company standards, customer contract requirements, and related specifications. Evaluates and approves design changes, specification and drawing releases. Coordinates activities concerned with technical developments, scheduling, and resolving engineering design and test problems.

Basic Qualifications

  • Final Top Secret security clearance
  • Degree in engineering, finance, or other relevant area from an accredited college, or equivalent experience/combined education
  • Demonstrated capabilities in managing complex programs or projects from concept to completion with minimal oversight
  • Experience with classified program environments

Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $79300.00 - $147300.00

  • For (Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
