Role Overview
- The Manufacturing Project Engineering Manager leads a team of project managers overseeing the development and production of weapon systems, ground-support equipment, and satellite electronics.
- This functional role focuses on building strong people and processes to sustain growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Recruiting, onboarding, evaluating staff, managing compensation, recognition, disciplinary actions and assigning personnel to project phases.
- The manager standardizes manufacturing project execution, aligns schedules with milestones, and resolves manufacturing and test issues through cross-functional coordination and root-cause analysis.
- Continuous-improvement is driven via Lean/Six-Sigma, tracking KPIs such as schedule adherence and defect rates.
- The role serves as the primary liaison for internal operations and line of business program teams, providing status briefings and mitigation plans.
- Requires 10%–20% travel for site visits.
Basic Qualifications
To be considered, candidates must meet all requirements listed:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical field, or 8+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
- 8+ years of related experience in project management or manufacturing operations.
- Experience in a formal leadership role within an operations or manufacturing environment.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret security clearance.
Desired Skills
Nice-to-have skills that strengthen candidacy but are not required:
- Active Top Secret clearance strongly preferred.
- 10+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
- 5 years of experience managing projects in a manufacturing or other highly complex environment.
- Experience using an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system and Manufacturing Execution System (MES).
- Experience writing Basis of Estimates (BOEs) for projecting cost and schedule for future production programs.
- Demonstrated knowledge of Lean manufacturing techniques and principles, as well as work measurement and labor standards.
- Demonstrated project leadership.
- Demonstrated knowledge of or experience with high-mix, low-volume production operations.
- Cost Account Manager (CAM) experience.
- Demonstrated interpersonal and collaboration skills in a team environment.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $145100.00 - $269500.00

Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
