Key Duties & Responsibilities
As a Quality Engineer, you will work within a production / manufacturing environment ensuring product compliance through accurate work instruction and drawing reviews, audit preparation and compliance, and supporting documentation and resolution of any nonconformances. This role will be expected to work cross-functionally, with program/customer representatives, to execute compliance and resolving/communicating technical issues. Will be responsible to dive process improvements and cost savings utilizing a continuous improvement mentality. This position be supporting the build and testing of ordnance devices on-site full time in Courtland, AL.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college in technical discipline (e.g., engineering field) or equivalent discipline (e.g., STEM fields)
- Experience in QMS (e.g., AS9100)
- Ability to comprehend and interpret drawings, work instructions, schematics, and specifications
- Experience supporting test and/or product acceptance
- Strong knowledge of QA methodologies, tools, processes and best practices
- Proficient Computer/MS Office skills/look up specifications/military standards
- Effective written and communication skills with attention to detail
- Can work independently/self-motivated
- Ability to obtain/maintain Secret security clearance
Desired Skills
- Ordnance experience
- Experience with SAP/ERP, VECAMS/Apriso
- Demonstrated ability to work at all levels of the organization to analyze data and communicate findings to multi-functional stakeholders and customers
- Green Belt Trained and/or Certified Quality Engineer (CQE)
- Experience driving robust Corrective Actions Root Cause and Corrective Action
- Experience with PR/MRB process (PR/QMRB certification preferred)
- Understands lean manufacturing and quality optimization in a production environment
- 2+ years of related experience specifically in Quality / Production / Engineering / Manufacturing environment
Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $70500.00 - $130900.00

- Annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs may be offered depending on the position. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and can vary from year to year and are tied to a range of performance metrics.
- For (Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
