You will be the Quality Engineer Sr for the Quality Engineering Team. Our team is responsible for ensuring product excellence across design, production, and supply chain.

As the Quality Engineer Sr you will be responsible for applying quality principles across design, incoming material, production control, product evaluation, and more. Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Perform technical evaluations of product requirements, specifications, and drawings.
- Collaborate with program management, engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, and customers on quality issues.
- Lead product failure investigations and corrective/preventive actions.
- Develop strategies to improve internal and supplier performance.
- Design and analyze inspection and testing processes and conduct statistical analysis.

MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN - This position is located at a facility that requires special access. The selected candidate must be able to obtain a Secret clearance.
This role blends hands‑on engineering expertise with program‑control responsibilities, ensuring technical excellence while fostering a collaborative and high‑performance culture.
Key Responsibilities: Assess product designs for manufacturability, assembly complexity, tooling requirements, process capability, production scalability, testability and test synergy improvements, Drive designs for cost, quality, reliability, and manufacturability improvements, Develop and improve production processes, tooling, fixtures, equipment, and test methods, Analyze data to identify opportunities for yield improvement, cycle-time reduction, capacity improvement, and cost reduction.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in engineering, manufacturing, quality management, or a related technical field
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in manufacturing, or product development
- Manufacturing Process knowledge: CNC, electronic and electro-mechanical fabrication and assembly, assembly and automation
- Experience with complex mechanical, electromechanical, aerospace designs
- Electronics manufacturing and testing
- Strong understanding of quality principles, standards, and methodologies (e.g., ISO 9001, AS9100, Lean, Six Sigma)
- Familiarity with regulatory and compliance requirements relevant to the aerospace industry
- Experience with statistical analysis tools and techniques (SPC, DOE, FMEA, root‑cause analysis)
- Strong background in DFM/DFA and production process development
- Knowledge of inspection and testing methods, measurement equipment, and calibration procedures
- Alternative Inspection and automated inspection implementation
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and tolerances
- Excellent problem‑solving skills and a detail‑oriented mindset
- Strong communication and documentation abilities (writing reports, work instructions, audits)
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross‑functional teams (design, manufacturing, supply chain)
- Engineering and Drawings GD&T, datum and tolerance analysis, surface finishes, material specifications, special processes
- Experience leading cross-functional teams
- Experience transitioning products from prototype to production
Desired Skills
- Hands-On Manufacturing experience in a medium to high volume manufacturing environment, either in mechanical or electrical field
- Hands-On inspection experience with manual and automated tools
- Understanding supply chain processes and experience working with suppliers to resolve quality and manufacturing issues
- Strategic Thinking & Decision‑Making
- Manufacturing processes and assembly (DFM/DFA)
- Design for Cost (DFC)
- GD&T and engineering drawings
- Cost and cycle-time analysis
- Manufacturing process evaluation
- Project and stakeholder management
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- Experience with continuous‑improvement initiatives and audit processes is a plus
- Certifications such as Certified Quality Engineer (CQE), Six Sigma Green/Black Belt, or ASQ credentials are advantageous.
Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $85300.00 - $158300.00

Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
