WHAT WE'RE DOING
This Quality Manager (QM) position supporting Backshop Operations Avionics Product Center in Connecticut. The QM is responsible for all aspects of quality and mission success as the Quality Leader of the Avionics Product Center. The position will report to the Quality Senior Manager for Backshop Operations in the RMS Sikorsky line of business. The candidate will provide leadership to both salary and hourly personnel, including Quality Engineers and Quality Assurance supporting this Product Center.
THE WORK
The QM will provide leadership through identification and implementation of process improvement initiatives in these areas that support the Quality Organization’s key performance measurements, vision and strategy. Additional responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
- Managing and maintaining Quality Plans
- Executing to the RMS and Sikorsky Quality Management System
- Participating/presenting in program reviews
- Managing collaboration efforts with both the customer and DCMA for contract statement of work compliance to the quality management system, non-conforming material, corrective actions and reporting of year of year improvement metrics
- Maintaining a collaborative relationship with the Local 1150
- Collaborating across enterprise functions to ensure quality requirements are executed and complied with
- Participating in and supporting the Integrated Product Team (IPT), PMT’s, QIP’s, etc.
- Serving as the Quality Control Account Manager to monitor and manage all quality budgets for, cost center budget, headcount, overtime and DCI% etc.
- Ensuring on-time delivery of all contract QA deliverables
- Performing for salary performance management, including annual reviews and salary planning
- Leading the execution and achievement of all applicable Lockheed Martin, RMS and RMS Sikorsky business objectives

Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Technical, Industrial, Quality‑Assurance or a related STEM discipline — or equivalent combination of education, certifications, and relevant work experience
- Demonstrated ability to make data‑driven decisions, set priorities, and provide clear direction in a dynamic business environment
- Experience developing, implementing and measuring Quality Management systems or strategies that produced measurable improvements
- Proven experience presenting quality‑focused proposals or results to cross‑functional leadership groups, with documented adoption of the recommended solutions
Desired Skills
- Strong customer‑focused mindset; ability to partner with internal and external stakeholders (customers, DCMA, other business units) to resolve problems and develop employee talent
- Experience creating, monitoring, and reporting executive‑level operations metrics
- Expertise leading continuous‑process‑improvement initiatives (Lean, Six Sigma) and driving measurable results
- Hands‑on experience planning and executing Quality Engineering tools
- Ability to translate complex data into actionable recommendations that influence cross‑functional teams and deliver results
- Reperesented workforce experience/1150 CBA experience
Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $145100.00 - $269500.00

- Annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs may be offered depending on the position. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and can vary from year to year and are tied to a range of performance metrics.
- For (Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
