About the role

The successful applicant will have excellent written and spoken English and be available to travel as required.  High ethical standards and the ability to work well in a multi-cultural team is a must. A background in the defence industry, government or military is preferable.The selected candidate will work to strengthen Lockheed Martin customer relationships and support development and delivery of corporate strategy in the Nordics as part of  the GBDI team Lockheed Martin business in the region.

Specific Job Description:The post-holder will help develop and manage Lockheed Martin corporate engagement, business development, strategy and coordination of relationships in the region, representing the full breadth of Lockheed Martin to senior leaders, customers, partners and other key stakeholders. He/she will strengthen the Lockheed Martin brand and increase understanding and support for Lockheed Martin goals and objectives.

Responsibilities:Represent Lockheed Martin with high level, industrial, political and military key stakeholders in the region and develop and maintain positive relationships with themEnable Lockheed Martin to prioritize and speak as ONE LMPosition to be recognized as the LM face in the regionSupport Lockheed Martin Business Areas’ programs and pursuitsProvide political, military and economic situational reporting to Lockheed Martin leadershipOrganize and support senior level LM visits, incl. Executive Leadership TeamSupport LM corporate and Business Areas with senior military and political delegations visiting LM in the USIdentify and shape new business opportunities that can fuel long-term growth;Plan and coordinate events and activities to support the Corporation’s business development and brand positioningManage as “agreement monitor” corporate consultants in the RegionEnsure compliance with local legal requirementsServe as a senior executive interface with key government and industry stakeholders, including at political/policy events with Think Tanks and Advisory GroupsCollaborate with functional leads to ensure cross-functional alignment in support of business goals

Skills, Qualifications and Experience

• Excellent English written and verbal communication skills; one or more Nordics languages would be an advantage
• A team player who can work well with international multi-cultural teams, committed to personal excellence, ethical behaviour and integrity
• Demonstrated breadth and successful experience in the Defence and Security sector as well as expertise in the Nordics business and culture with proven ability to identify and build strong relationships that can support Lockheed Martin’s objectives
• Knowledge and experience of successfully working and thriving in a fast-paced environment;
• Strong ability to build successful business relationships with all levels of stakeholders in both public and private sectors
• Ability to manage multiple lines of work concurrently
• A high degree of flexibility and the availability to travel frequently in the region and occasionally elsewhere within Europe and to the US
• Strong organisational skills and the flexibility to respond quickly to multiple requests from across the whole corporation.
• Demonstrated ability to achieve goals through influencing, partnering, and developing productive relationships with senior leadership
• Proven ability to be both strategic and tactical; results-oriented, and provide flawless execution
• Bachelors degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with professional experience; or professional experience with a related Masters degree. Ex- military personnel are suitable to apply for this post.
