LM Space is seeking an RF Engineering Associate Manager to join our Strategic Missile Defense (SMD) team in King of Prussia, PA! In this role you will lead and drive collaboration between diverse teams of RF engineers that support the RF design, development of RF subsystems, operations of existing RF subsystems, and new technology implementation efforts for numerous SMD programs.These programs are experiencing growth, and we need your expertise to deliver amazing new technologies to our customers while maintaining the technical requirements. In this role you will perform dual roles as the functional leader of a group of direct report RF engineers and as an experienced engineer contributing to the completion of program design engineering tasks.
Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
• Providing technical coaching and mentoring to team members
• Driving technical excellence, affordability, and program execution
• Supporting RF development and execution of program requirements
• Manage a group of RF engineers supporting multiple but related projects simultaneously.
• Coordinate subordinate employee recruitment, selection and training, performance assessment, work assignments, salary, and recognition/disciplinary actions.
• Manage and coordinate with external partners, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure successful program execution.
• Assist in the development and maintenance of complex project schedules, ensuring alignment with program goals.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, manufacturing, quality, program office, and procurement.
• Interact with senior management, customers, and suppliers to resolve issues and ensure compliance with program requirements.
• Analyze and mitigate risks, identifying opportunities for process improvements and implementing corrective actions as needed.
• Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including customers, suppliers, and internal teams.

Standard Job Description:
Directs the architecting and designing of Radio Frequency systems and circuitry. Coordinates subordinate employee recruitment, selection and training, performance assessment, work assignments, salary, and recognition/disciplinary actions. Manages the design and development of RF circuitry used in high frequency and microwave applications, including receivers, transmitters, antennas, and frequency synthesizers. Leads the staff responsible for hardware layout, component evaluation, prototype construction, and test. Oversees the preparation of the following: test methods and specifications; analysis and testing of RF hardware to verify performance characteristics. Provides inputs to Product Development for formal documentation and supports manufacturing during the deliverable assembly and test phase. Manages the development of RF System/Subsystem Architectures consisting of: antennas, transmitters, receivers, low noise amplifiers, high power amplifiers, RF conversion elements and transmission line equipment. Coordinates link analysis and optimization, including effects of propagation medium and possible interference sources. Manages the development and allocation of RF system and subsystem functional and performance requirements. Oversees the identification and tracking of RF technical performance measurements (TPMs). Monitors RF system/subsystem/component trade studies and CAIV analysis. Supports Life Cycle Costs, reliability, availability, and maintainability analysis.
Basic Qualifications
• Experience with RF engineering development
• Formal or informal lead or leadership experience
• Experience in RF hardware requirements generation, design, integration, test, and/or troubleshooting.
• Proficiency in Project, Excel, Power Point and Word.
• This position requires the selected employee be a U.S. Citizen with an ability to attain a Secret security clearance.
Desired Skills
• RF hardware development experience applicable to Reentry Vehicle, Missile, and/or Spacecraft RF subsystem design, testing, integration, and operations.
• Experienced in change proposal and proposal basis of estimates cost generation, documentation, and planning.
• Experience in the Strategic Missile Design industry
• Experience with Contract Management and procurement processes.
• Experience with Earned Value Management (EVM) and other project management tools and techniques
• Familiarity with product life cycles, including formal design reviews and Technical Interchange Meetings with internal/external customers
• Experienced in Cost Account Management (CAM) and scheduling management.
• Proven experience in managing multiple projects simultaneously, with a strong track record of delivering results on time, and within budget.
• Strong analytical and organizational skills, with attention to detail and a demonstrated ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
• Proficient in AI prompting as it applies to this position and practice.
• An active Secret Security Clearance
Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $135700.00 - $251900.00

PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
