Standard Job Description

Performs scientific experiments, investigations, observations and related research studies into the nature and operation of natural phenomena in a particular field, using the scientific methods. Develops theories for understanding, characterizing and organizing natural phenomena into a systematic and meaningful pattern for the benefit of project advancement and emerging technologies. May participate in intellectual property evaluations and development of patent applications. May coordinate interdepartmental activities and research efforts.

Basic Qualifications

•    Minimum 15 years of experience in a low observable field, signature management, or radar cross section analysis for advanced aircraft platforms.
•    Experience leading multidisciplinary engineering teams in the development of low observable systems, processes, or analytical tools.
•    Demonstrated expertise in RCS measurement, analysis, and predictive signature modeling for fighter aircraft.
•    Proven track record of designing, developing, and deploying enterprise-scale engineering data systems or analytical platforms.
•    Experience serving as technical liaison to government program offices (JPO/SPO) on low observable systems and sustainment issues.
•    Deep knowledge of effects of defects and repairs on aircraft signature performance, including repair verification methodologies.
•    Experience managing classified engineering data, security protocols, and secure system deployments.
•    Demonstrated ability to translate program requirements into technical solutions, engineering schedules, and deliverable milestones.
•    Bachelor degree in Aeronautical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Physics, or related technical discipline.
•    Active Secret security clearance.

Desired Skills

  • F-35 program experience with signature integration, low observable sustainment, or RCS evaluation systems.
  • Hands-on experience with Low Observable Health Assessment (LOHAS) systems or equivalent predictive signature analysis platforms.
  • Background in military low observable operations, maintenance, or engineering leadership roles.
  • Experience in software development methodologies (Agile/Scrum) and management of software engineering teams.
  • Proven expertise in engineering knowledge management systems, technical documentation control, and process standardization.
  • Advanced training or certification in change of basis electromagnetics, RCS prediction tools, or signature analysis methodologies.
  • Experience with automated inspection systems, laser-based coating evaluation, or advanced LO maintenance technologies.
  • Demonstrated success in  rapid prototyping, or innovative tool development for LO applications.
  • Author of technical papers or engineering standards related to low observable systems.
  • Experience conducting formal technical training programs and instructing engineering personnel on advanced RCS and low observable system sustainment concepts.
  • Master degree or PhD in Aeronautical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Applied Physics, or related discipline.
  • Exceptional interpersonal, organizational, and executive communication skills with proven ability to brief senior leadership and influence strategic decisions.

Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $182500.00 - $338900.00

Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
