As an ESS SATCOM Systems Integration and Test Systems Engineering SME, you will:
- Act as a customer interface, foster customer relationship and interpret customer feedback into LM roles and responsibilities and execution team
- Attend Customer led working groups, provide technical data and responses, and resolve assigned actions
- Guide systems integration efforts through the program lifecycle
- Lead and prepare for integration of space segment with ground segment, including support to integration and test environments, labs and government equipment
- Perform cross-program coordination during development of intersegment verification validation and test baselines
- Support system analysis and interface definition
- Support Test Plan and Test Procedure reviews
- Support System Test events to verify interface, functional and performance requirements between internal and external interfaces

Performs technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for total systems. Analyses are performed at all levels of total system product to include: concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance and disposal. Ensures the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints. Performs functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications. For positions that perform IT responsibilities, use E646, Systems Engr-IT.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Engineering/Technical discipline or closely related field, or equivalent combination of education and related experience
- 10 years of Systems Engineering Experience
- Systems Integration and Test Engineering process knowledge and experiences
- Strategic SATCOM mission knowledge and experience
- Exposure to RF or digital communications Payload Systems engineering
- Experience with Systems Integration and engineering lifecycle on Space programs
- Experience coordinating across multiple engineering disciplines
- Active and current Secret clearance required. Thus US Citizenship is required
Desired Skills
- 12 Years of Systems Engineering experience
AEHF Design, Integration, and Mission experience - Experience with integration of space and ground segments
- Experience with RF or digital communications Payload Systems engineering
- Experience or understanding of operational ground system command and control
- Experience with System Test conduct, including development labs, and integration test definition
- Ability to communicate complex technical ideas to an audience with varied technical backgrounds
- Experience with customer facing reviews: SRR, PDR, CDR, TRR, etc.
- Demonstrated ability to coordinate large integration efforts across teams and organizations
- Ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI security clearance

Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $178500.00 - $331500.00

Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
