Space Data Network - Backbone is looking for a program manager for a very dynamic program in support of our Nation's space infrastructure needs.  As a program manager for SDN-B, you will be responsible for the cost, schedule, and technical performance of a segment of the program (space vehicle, ground, systems and operations).

This position requires ability to obtain and maintain Active Top Secret Clearance. Must be a U.S. Citizen.

This position is contingent upon contract award.

Directs all phases of programs from inception through completion. Responsible for coordinating subordinate employee recruitment, selection and training, performance assessment, work assignments, salary, and recognition/disciplinary actions. Responsible for the cost, schedule and technical performance of company programs or subsystems of major programs. Participates in the negotiation of contract and contract changes. Coordinates the preparation of proposals, business plans, proposal work statements and specifications, operating budgets and financial terms/conditions of contract. Acts as primary customer contact for program activities, leading program review sessions with customer to discuss cost, schedule, and technical performance. Establishes design concepts, criteria and engineering efforts for product research, development, integration and test. Develops new business or expands the product line with the customer. Establishes milestones and monitors adherence to master plans and schedules, identifies program problems and obtains solutions, such as allocation of resources or changing contractual specifications. Directs the work of employees assigned to the program from technical, manufacturing and administrative areas.

Basic Qualifications

• Experience and understanding of work breakdown structures (WBS), Responsibility Assignment Matrices (RAM), Integrated Master Plan (IMP), Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) and program management plan(s) (PMP)
• Experience leading multi-disciplinary teams.
• Experience leading program proposals.
• Experience with executive level communications.
• Experience with DoD customers.
• Ability to obtain and maintain Active Top Secret Clearance

Desired Skills

• Experience gathering technical input/scope and decomposing for proposal content that meet the intent of the Systems approach and demonstrate traceability to customer requirements
• Experience partnering on supply chain strategy for subcontract(s) included in on contract and future proposal scope
• Experience with government budgeting processes, US defense acquisition, and on a Space Systems development program is highly desired

Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $185400.00 - $344400.00

PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
