Death Valley Job Description

Conducts program specific real time 24x7 space operations as a ground controller.  Provide mission support in areas such as command and control of on-orbit satellites and factory testing. Utilizes system software to accomplish all tasks and recommends improvements. Analyzes and validates software performance. This is a shift-work position, and requires the ability to work any shift as required. The candidate will:

  • Must be able to obtain CompTIA SecuirtyPlus certification within 90 days of employment.
  • Utilize problem solving, and communication skills to support 24/7 operations, interact with users, engineering support, crew and management personnel as needed.
  • Monitor crew logs for situational awareness.
  • Maintain crew logs for activities that happen on shift.
  • Contribute to procedural updates and procedure validation as needed.

Basic Qualifications

  • Experience in operation of command and control (C2) ground systems related to satellite operations.
  • Must be an effective communicator with strong oral and written communications skills.
  • Ability to support 24/7, 365 operations.
  • Active Top Secret required. 
  • US Citizenship is required.

Desired Skills

  • CompTIA Security+
  • SCI elgibility
  • Proven diagnostic and troubleshooting experience.
  • Ground station communications, configuration, operation, and/or fault isolation experience

Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $85300.00 - $158300.00

PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
