This positon will perform duties as a Security Generalist and will be responsible for security support of classified areas for the F-35 Pilot Training Center.

 

Duties will include, but are not limited to: assist instructors, pilots, and visitors using the facility; operate badging and access control systems; monitor security camera systems; perform random searches. Enforce all USAF and local security procedures and practices including the following: controlling access to secure facilities, handling and storage of classified documents and electronic media, monitoring compliance with COMSEC and COMPUSEC (act as COMSEC / SVRO Custodian as needed). Provide assistance with the following: file plans and documentation maintenacne in classified containers; change combinations and generate SF 700s; assist in self-inspections and prepare for customer inspections; perform and document vault alarm tests; assist in secuirty investigations; and escort un-cleared personnel within classified areas.

 

The Security Generalist will be hired to support first, second, or third shift operations to include weekends as the need arises. While assigned shifts should be stable, applicants may be required to change shifts, if necessary, to support mission requirements. Occasional business travel may be required to include deployment and detachment support in arduous or austere locations to support F-35 security operations outside of Tyndall AFB.

 

Develops, administers and audits security programs for compliance with government regulations associated with the protection of classified material and export controlled data. Develops and executes security programs associated with the protection of proprietary information in compliance with corporate policies. Performs in individual and team roles supporting all contractual security requirements for Special Access Programs (SAP), Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) programs or DOD collateral classified programs. Serves as a Contractor Program Security Officer (CPSO), a Contractor Special Security Officer (CSSO) or a Security Representative. Studies and implements federal security regulations that apply to company compliance and contract execution as set forth in SAP security rules (JAFAN/JSIG), SCI security rules (ICD) or DOD security rules (NISPOM). Works closely with U. S. Government customers to seek contract execution approvals and seeks security rulings or deviations. Provides support in managing the quality, schedule and cost expectations associated with program development and execution, while maintaining the fundamental security requirements defined by the customer/company and program. Prepares implementation manuals outlining regulations, and establishes procedures for handling, storing, keeping records, and for granting personnel and visitors access to classified materials. Develops and conducts security education classes. Investigates security violations and prepares reports specifying preventive action to be taken. Applies business-minded and risk-managed solutions to security issues and business challenges, and communicates observations and recommendations to leadership and enterprise business partners. Processes clearances and customer visits and provides support for classified meetings.

Basic Qualifications

  1. Secret security clearance with an investigation or CV date within 5 years
  2. Must be able to obtain and maintain Special Access Program access
  3. Experience working in classified areas and with classified materials
  4. Outstanding written and verbal communicative skills; excellent customer service skills

Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $44500.00 - $82700.00

  • For (Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
