You will be the Aeronautical Engineer Sr Stf - E5 for the Advanced Development Programs (Skunk Works®) which is responsible for advancing cutting‑edge aircraft concepts.
What You Will Be Doing
As the Aeronautical Engineer Sr Stf - E5 you will be responsible for leading structural analysis efforts that ensure the safety and performance of next‑generation aircraft.

- Develop and define analysis plans and goals for aircraft structural assessments.
- Assess analysis approaches, interpret results, and recommend testing as needed.
- Ensure all structural integrity requirements are satisfied.
- Provide regular status updates to internal and external customers.
- Lead and review work of other analysts in static strength assessments of primary and secondary aircraft structures.

MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN - This position is located at a facility that requires special access. The selected candidate must possess an active Secret clearance to start.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelors degree or higher from an accredited college in Aeronautical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Engineering Mechanics or similar degree with 8+ years of professional experience.
- Experience with stress analysis by classical textbook methods
- Experience in developing, running, and working with Finite Element Models
- Understanding of drawing practices, material properties, and manufacturing processes
- Must be a US Citizen, position is located at a facility that requires special access
- Active Department of Defense Secret clearance within 6 years of last investigation
Desired Skills
- Expertise with structural analysis of metallic and composite aircraft structure
- Experience analyzing structures with high temperature exposures and temperature gradients
- Expertise using FEA tools such as NASTRAN, PATRAN, Altair Hypermesh, Abaqus
- Experience using LM Aero Common Analysis Tools including IDAT and SLIM
- Experience using CATIA V5 and/or Dassault 3DExperience
- Experience leading teams of stress analysis engineers
- 10+ years of experience on aircraft and/or missile programs from demonstration to operational phases
- Experience working with and driving execution of subcontractors
- Experience with aerospace MRB activities
- Highly proficient in communication skills, with ability to compile and present material to customers; experience in a collaborative work environment and good interpersonal skills for conversing with teammates
Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $145100.00 - $269500.00

- For (Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
