Lockheed Martin Space Metrology has a great opportunity for a Metrology Associate Manager in the Silverdale, Washington location in support of the Fleet Ballistic Missile Program. In this role you will manage the daily calibration/production efforts for the Technical Services Building, provide guidance and support to subordinates, and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders as needed to achieve collective goals.

 

Responsibilities will also include:

  • Coordinating subordinate employee training, performance assessment, work assignment, and recognition/disciplinary actions
  • Production management, metrics development/tracking, and leading process improvement efforts
  • Concern and problem resolution with calibration laboratory internal and external stakeholders

 

Proficient in AI prompting as it applies to this position and practice.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in a related discipline or equivalent experience/combined education
  • Demonstrated Leadership skills and behaviors 
  • Excellent communication skills, including presentation skills and ability to address complex issues and solutions with senior leadership and customer stakeholders
  • Proven ability to prioritize and work under deadlines, handle multiple projects at once and align resources effectively to meet goals
  • Proficiency in MS Office
  • US Citizenship required with Interim Secret clearance required prior to start.

Desired Skills

  • 5+ years managing a calibration laboratory
  • 5+ years leadership experience with medium to large groups of personnel
  • Experience leading hourly and/or non-exempt personnel
  • Previous leadership experience at a calibration facility certified accredited to ISO/IEC 17025
  • Proven analytical skills, metrics, cost for lab and ability to operate/track within budget
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate with other organizations, associate contractors and our U.S. Navy customer
  • Demonstrated change management skills
  • Skilled in risk identification, mitigation planning
  • Experience at a FBM field site
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Strong problem solving and conflict resolution skills
  • Strong commitment to industrial and personnel safety
  • Active Security Clearance

Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $118000.00 - $219100.00

Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
