The Work
Lockheed Martin's Rotary & Mission Systems is seeking a full-time Software Engineer for our Platform Services team. In this role, you will:
- Support multiple Mission Integrated Command & Control (MIC2) Line of Business (LOB) programs.
- Perform software and systems development tasks (design, code, test, integration) for a full spectrum of Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) solutions.
- Develop new applications and integrate COTS and GOTS software to construct a complete solution.
- Travel between LM sites as well as customer sites.

Basic Qualifications
- BS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Systems Engineering, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering or Information Systems
- Understanding of systems analysis, design, requirements development, integration and test methodologies
- Understanding of higher-level programming languages, such as Java, C++
- Understanding of scripting languages, such as bash, python.
- Ability to develop test scripts (bash, csh, python) and software test drivers (C/C++ and Java) to exercise middleware service test procedures.
- Ability to identify and isolate system defects during integration and test activities.
- Candidate must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD Security clearance.
- Candidate must be able to support periodic travel.
Desired Skills
- Understanding of cloud concepts: virtualization technologies, IaaS, PaaS, and cloud delivery models.
- Understanding of cloud security policies.
- Experience in designing and provisioning PaaS Infrastructure that includes service mesh, orchestration, storage, discovery and messaging.
- Experience migrating large, monolithic applications to microservices/containerized services, running on the PaaS.
- Experience with DevSecOps software development platforms and configuration management, such as GitLab.
- Experience with IT automation technologies used in managing and provisioning infrastructure and applications, such as Ansible.
- Experience with test diagnostics tools, such as software debuggers, message injectors, hardware and network analyzers and simulators.
- Experience with software test automation.
Pay Information
- $75000.00 - $142760.00

- For (Washington state applicants only) Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
