Standard Job Description
This position is for a Software Engineer Staff to participate and lead a team in the design, development, test and maintenance of software systems within Lockheed Martin Space - National Security Space (NSS). The Ollivander program is comprised of multiple separate Task Orders that deliver innovative enterprise, cloud and application-based solutions. As a Product Owner on the Mission Compliance System (MCS) task order, you will:
- Plan, conduct, and coordinate software development activities.
- Design, develop, document, test, and debug enterprise software running on cloud platforms
- Apply the appropriate standards, processes, procedures, and tools throughout the development life cycle.
- Participate in code peer reviews, application demonstrations, data analysis, test planning and execution to ensure software intent and standards are met.
- Prepare operating instructions, generate program development documentation, and analyze system capabilities.
- Participate in failure investigations, anomaly resolution activities, and retrospective events
- Provide technical leadership and guidance to the development team regarding software architecture, design patterns, and deployment to production.
- Become a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in the program applications and aid in the creation, decomposition, and adjudication of Agile stories.
- Coordinate with team leadership regarding priorities, schedules, and risks/opportunities.
- Work with the Customer, Operations, and other Gov’t stakeholders to build technology and architecture roadmaps
- Support cost and technical inputs to ROMs, RFPs for ECPs and new task orders
Basic Qualifications
- Previous software development experience in any of the following programming Languages/scripting: Python, Java, TypeScript/JavaScript
- Experience working in Agile teams using SAFe, Scrum, Kanban or other methodologies
- Active TS security clearance with willingness to obtain TS/SCI w/ poly
Desired Skills
- Team leadership experience
- Understanding / proficiency in application containerization (e.g. Docker, Kubernetes, etc.)
- Web Development Experience
- Cloud-based technologies
- DevSecOps and CI/CD pipeline experience
- Continuous Integration\Automated Testing\DevOps
- Experience designing and documenting microservice-based architectures
- Experience with relational and/or NoSQL databases
- Experience with distributed systems (services and databases)
- Strong background developing /debugging and/or testing of web applications and web services
- Experience with cost estimation based on high level requirements and specifications
Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $135700.00 - $251900.00

- Annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs may be offered depending on the position. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and can vary from year to year and are tied to a range of performance metrics.
- For (Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
